When Almost Failures was first established as an LLC, it was with some trepidation. Initially, it was meant for one purpose only; to produce an independent film showcasing the variety of talent in Central Florida. The idea behind it was to assemble a film out of the efforts of a diverse group of talents all on the verge of making it, or getting by. It seemed only appropriate that the film and the production company be named, "Almost Failures". Now, several years later, we, the same diverse group of people, have grown in skill and number, and are showcasing not only our own efforts, but a number of productions under the category Creative Media.

Almost Failures, The Movie

"Almost Failures" is about six people with no exceptional talents and a lot of obstacles in their way. Documentary cameras follow them in the pursuit of their dreams. They struggle to pay the bills, survive, and get recognition for their ambitions. Each one is willing to do whatever it takes to make their mark in the entertainment industry, while they visit all the usual websites and knock on all the unusual doors. Each one of them have all the makings of a perfect failure, except they also have the willingness to give a try and fall on their faces. That's the one thing that saves them from becoming a cautionary tale. They are each of them failures... Almost.

Behind every success story is an almost failure who didn't give up.

40 Mile High - Almost Failures

When the search for the band to do the soundtrack began in Florida, little did anyone expect the answer would be in an exhaustingly energetic trio in Ohio. Lo, and behold, Forty Mile High presents the perfect combination of percussion, bass, and guitar with unique sounds, original music, and a raw feel. They can't be simply described as a Rock band, as their range takes you from garage grunge, to instrumental pieces that inspire the imagination. They don't exactly do "covers", but their re-envisioning of classics like "It's Gonna Be A Hot Time In The Old Town Tonight" are unique and inspired. The album is available HERE.
